I absolutely loved creating this stunning one-off piece!

This magnificent and very substantial Maw, Till, Kirke & Co. (circa 1876 - 1892) buffet/sideboard measuring:

Height to decorative back: 126cm
Height to the top: 97cm
Width: 168cm
Depth: 58cm

I decided to decorate this with my hand-painted peacock design.

It's a gorgeous and substantial antique, solid wood (of course) with attractive cabriole legs giving it serious stature, with dovetail joints and boasting colours such as rich teals, electric blues, deep greens and a pop of pink.

I first ebonized the woodwork then sealed the whole thing in shellac and wax. 

This hand-painted mural is my one-off design and makes for a gorgeous, striking centre piece.
