This one-off, hand-painted, solid pine early victorian spacious cupboard with three draws and original glass pulls has had life breathed back into it. After an extensive facelift, during which I removed at least six layers of paint, leaving accents of its painted history.

The greens complimented its rustic style, but I wanted to show enough of the old, slow-grown antique pine that its warmth of the wood could be appreciated once again. My one-off sunflower design, rich in pinks, oranges and of course, those sunny yellows on a backdrop of apple green leaves teams well with the original greens of the furniture.

This piece has been sealed with two coats of professional hard wax varnish in matt, giving it durability while retaining its raw appearance. By www.lindsaythompsonart.co.uk
